11th Joint ESA’s Consumer Protection Day

On 3 October 2024, the three European Supervisory Authorities: the European Banking Authority (EBA), the European Insurance and Occupational Pensions Authority (EIOPA) and the European Securities and Markets Authority (ESMA) are organising their 11th Consumer Protection Day. The theme of the event will be “Empowering EU consumers: fair access to the future of financial services”.

The panel discussions will focus on the following consumer protection topics: 

  • artificial intelligence in the financial services sector, 
  • accessibility to consumer-centric products, and
  • sustainable finance.

Date: Thursday 3 October 2024, 9:30 - 16:00 CET

Location: premises of the Central Bank of Hungary (MNB – Magyar Nemzeti Bank), Budapest (Krisztina krt. 55., H-1013), Hungary

Conference format: Public event. Invitees are encouraged to attend physically. The Joint ESAs Consumer Protection Day is a free of charge event and open to the public. Only consumers representatives who are members of an officially recognised body in their respective EU Member State will be reimbursed. Reimbursement is subject to conditions.

Please be aware that seating is limited and therefore participation will be confirmed by the organisers according to availability and fair distribution of seats ensuring representation of all stakeholders, including the public and consumer representatives.
