Instructions to follow regarding new EBA Resolution Reporting - Template Z 07
- Question
-
Could the EBA please confirm whether column “0030” (and, for template Z 07.01.4, also columns “0040” and “0050”) should be populated with amounts referring to the entire customer base, irrespective of residence, or with amounts referring only to customers resident in the home country?
- Background on the question
-
With reference to templates Z 07.01.1 to Z 07.01.5, and more specifically to column “0030” – and, for template Z 07.01.4 only, also to columns “0040” and “0050” – the EBA Annex for IT solutions (Instructions) do not specify whether these columns should be populated with amounts referring only to customers resident in the home country – as previously required under the former SRB guidance for the CFR – or with amounts referring to the entire customer base, irrespective of residence.
In the absence of clear guidance on this point in the EBA Instructions – which, conversely, specify that the “Cross-border” column should be populated separately with amounts referring to non-resident customers – the amounts referring to the entire customer base have been reported in the columns referred to above.
