Ad-hoc analysis on bank bonds holdings
The European Banking Authority (EBA) published findings of an ad-hoc analysis of unrealised losses of debt securities held at amortised cost in EU banks. This targeted analysis is part of the ongoing regular risk monitoring of the EU banking sector conducted by the EBA in collaboration with Competent Authorities.
In this section, the EBA discloses individual banks' figures concerning the carrying amount and the fair value of bonds at amortised cost, as of December 2022 and February 2023. The banks for which individual data are disclosed are the same as those participating in the 2023 EU-wide stress test. For more information about the 2023 EU-wide stress test, click here.
Individual banks data is published for transparency purposes only and the difference between carrying amounts and fair values of bonds at amortised costs should not be linked to the results of the EU-wide stress test.
