​The EBA responds to the European Parliament’s observations made in the 2024 Discharge report

​The European Banking Authority (EBA) today published an Opinion in response to the observations made by European Parliament in its 2024 Discharge Report covering all agencies, including the EBA. The EBA welcomes the overall positive feedback from the European Parliament. Only nine observations of the Parliament’s report directly mention the EBA, and none warrant the adoption of specific follow-up actions.

Legal background

Article 64(11) of the EBA Founding Regulation requires the EBA to provide a reasoned opinion on the European Parliament’s observations made during the discharge process.
