Supervisory review

Competent authorities shall disclose in the following section the general criteria and methodologies they use in the review and evaluation referred to in Article 97 (Supervisory Review and Evaluation Process - SREP) of Directive 2013/36/EU.

For supervisory disclosure purposes, the  competent authorities should provide information regarding the following aspects of SREP:

  1. Scope of application of SREP (including proportionality);
  2. Individual risk assessment;
  3. Review and evaluation of ICAAP; and  
  4. Overall assessment and supervisory measures.

It should be noted that starting from 1 January 2016 competent authorities should apply common European framework for SREP, which is provided in the EBA Guidelines on common procedures and methodologies for SREP issued pursuant to Article 107(30 of Directive 2013/36/EU.
