Traineeship offered by the EBA to young university graduates
EBA offers traineeship opportunities addressed mainly to young university graduates at the beginning of their professional career. The traineeship candidates are expected to have completed the first cycle of a higher education course (university education) and obtained a full degree certificate or its equivalent by the closing date of applications.
The current traineeship opportunities are open for the period from six to nine months starting from the first quarter of 2016. The aim of this call for applications is to establish a reserve list of candidates who may be offered traineeship at the EBA in the year 2016.
Applying for traineeship
Before applying for traineeship, the candidates are advised to read the Decision on paid traineeship offered by the European Banking Authority to young university graduates (further referred as "Decision on paid traineeship") and the Decision of the Executive Director on Engagement of Trainees within the traineeship programme organised by the EBA (further referred as "Decision on engagement of trainees").
If you feel that you meet the eligibility criteria listed in the Decision on paid traineeships as well as selection criteria provided in the descriptions of the traineeship positions, and that you could benefit from traineeship experience at the EBA, please submit the following documents to the following email address firstname.lastname@example.org:
Please provide the reference number of the traineeship position (e.g. TR LEGAL 01/2016; TR RA 02/2016, etc.) you are applying for in the subject of your email. If you wish to apply for the traineeship in more than one unit, you must submit separate applications for each of them.
Candidates must provide all the required supporting documents electronically by 23 November 2015 at 12.00 noon London time - the closing date for applications. No additional documents or justifications will be accepted after the receipt of the application. Incomplete applications and applications received after the closing date will be rejected automatically.
Candidates for traineeship will be selected on the basis of the eligibility criteria as mentioned in Article 2 of the Decision on paid traineeship and in accordance with the selection criteria mentioned in the published descriptions of traineeship positions.
It is foreseen to complete the shortlisting exercise by the end of December 2015. The decision on the candidates included in the reserve list will be released by the end of December/mid- January 2016.
Successful candidates will be informed about the outcome of the procedure and further contacted, if places become available.
