Joint ESAs public event on DORA – Technical discussion

  • Conference/Workshop

  • via conference call

On 6 February 2023, the European Supervisory Authorities (the European Banking Authority (EBA), the European Insurance and Occupational Pensions Authority (EIOPA) and the European Securities and Markets Authority (ESMA)) will jointly hold a public event on the upcoming Digital Operational Resilience Act (DORA). The ESAs will be keen to hear industry participants’ initial views and potential concerns/areas of attention on the policy mandates the ESAs will need to deliver to the European Commission 12 months after DORA enters into force and on the policy mandates with a longer deadline, which are “interlinked/bundled” with these 12-month mandates. Given the early stage of the policy development, the objective of the event does not envisage ESA staff to address specific questions on the policy mandates.

The event is addressed to all EU financial entities falling under the scope of DORA (Article 2) and ICT third–party service providers.

Participants can join the event online.

Background information

DORA aims to harmonise provisions relating to digital operational resilience across the EU financial sector and will enter into force on 16 January 2023, with application from 17 January 2025.
