On 23 September 2022 the three European Supervisory Authorities - the European Banking Authority (EBA), the European Insurance and Occupational Pensions Authority (EIOPA)
and the European Securities and Markets Authority (ESMA), are jointly organising their 9th Consumer Protection Day.

The theme of the event is "Steering a new path: supporting consumers t meet today's and tomorrow's challenges"

Tackling aspects related to sustainable finance, open finance and financial inclusion, this conference addresses what needs to be done to help consumers steer a new path through today’s landscape.

These days consumers are faced with existing and new challenges. Digitalisation and sustainability continue to be issues that are changing the way people approach financial services: either how they do business or the choices and preferences that they make. On top, there is a new challenge – increasing costs of living impact the choices that consumers have to make.
