The role's main responsibilities include:
 
  • Preparing policy stances and providing policy advice in the area of accounting;
  • Leading the development of guidelines binding technical standards and opinions/reports in the area of accounting in line with the EBA Work Program and ensuring their timely completion;
  • Contributing to the monitoring work around IFRS standards implementation, in particular with regard to the post implementation review of IFRS 9 and the follow up of the implementation of the EBA Guidelines on Expected Credit Losses;
     
  • Externally representing the EBA at a technical level in his/her area of expertise;
     
  • Providing support to internal committees and subgroups and their chairpersons;
